What is the Dairy Nourishes America: Feeding America’s Midwest Symposium?
This gathering allows champions across the value chain to build relationships and create solutions for increasing our neighbors’ access to the dairy products they need and desire. The first in a nation-spanning series, this Midwest-focused symposium will allow key players to align resources and identify actions to increase dairy options at food banks in their communities.
This event is co-hosted by Dairy Farmers of America (DFA).
Who should attend the event?
Action-oriented food bank staff and dairy community members seeking connections to source more nutritious foods for their communities should attend.
When and where is the Symposium taking place?
The Symposium will take place June 22- 24, 2022 in Kansas City.
Day One and Three activities will take place at The Fontaine Hotel, located at 901 W. 48th Place, Kansas City, MO 64112.
Day Two activities will take place at DFA’s headquarters, located at 1405 N 98th St, Kansas City, KS 66111.
What does the agenda look like for this event?
Day One (June 22): This will be our arrival day where attendees can join us for a local dairy farm tour and light reception at the hotel. All activities on this arrival day are optional to attend.
Day Two (June 23): This will be a full day of working sessions, guests, panels, and fun! Sessions will take place at DFA’s headquarters and will wrap with a happy hour reception at DFA. Transportation to and from DFA’s headquarters and The Fontaine hotel will be provided for attendees on June 23. Attendees who do not take provided transportation will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to DFA’s headquarters on that day. For this reason, we recommend arriving on June 22.
Day Three (June 24): This will be a half day at the hotel with our keynote speakers and action planning presentations before attendees depart.
